룻이 보아스에게 엎드림이, 수르보니게 여인이 예수님 앞에 엎드린 이야기와 왜 연결되는지…
나도 잘 모르겠지만,
결국 엎드린 여인들에게 보아스도 예수님도 구원자가 되었다.
[룻2:10-13, 개역한글]
10 룻이 땅에 엎드려 절하며 그에게 이르되 나는 이방 여인이어늘 당신이 어찌하여 내게 은혜를 베푸시며 나를 돌아보시나이까
11 보아스가 그에게 대답하여 가로되 네 남편이 죽은 후로 네가 시모에게 행한 모든 것과 네 부모와 고국을 떠나 전에 알지 못하던 백성에게로 온 일이 내게 분명히 들렸느니라
12 여호와께서 네 행한 일을 보응하시기를 원하며 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 그 날개 아래 보호를 받으러 온 네게 온전한 상 주시기를 원하노라
13 룻이 가로되 내 주여 내가 당신께 은혜 입기를 원하나이다 나는 당신의 시녀의 하나와 같지 못하오나 당신이 이 시녀를 위로하시고 마음을 기쁘게 하는 말씀을 하셨나이다
“She fell on her face, prostrating herself, and said to him, “Why are you showing me such favor? Why are you paying attention to me? After all, I’m only a foreigner.” Bo‘az answered her, “I’ve heard the whole story, everything you’ve done for your mother-in-law since your husband died, including how you left your father and mother and the land you were born in to come to a people about whom you knew nothing beforehand. May Adonai reward you for what you’ve done; may you be rewarded in full by Adonai the God of Isra’el, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” She said, “My Lord, I hope I continue pleasing you. You have comforted and encouraged me, even though I’m not one of your servants.””

25 이에 더러운 귀신 들린 어린 딸을 둔 한 여자가 예수의 소문을 듣고 곧 와서 그 발 아래 엎드리니
26 그 여자는 헬라인이요 수로보니게 족속이라 자기 딸에게서 귀신 쫓아 주시기를 간구하거늘
27 예수께서 이르시되 자녀로 먼저 배불리 먹게 할찌니 자녀의 떡을 취하여 개들에게 던짐이 마땅치 아니하니라
28 여자가 대답하여 가로되 주여 옳소이다마는 상 아래 개들도 아이들의 먹던 부스러기를 먹나이다
29 예수께서 가라사대 이 말을 하였으니 돌아가라 귀신이 네 딸에게서 나갔느니라 하시매
“Instead, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit in her came to him and fell down at his feet. The woman was a Greek, by birth a Syro-phoenician, and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. He said, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children’s food and toss it to their pet dogs.” She answered him, “That is true, sir; but even the dogs under the table eat the children’s leftovers.” Then he said to her, “For such an answer you may go on home; the demon has left your daughter.””
